Insurance Companies Ordered to Disclose Reasons of Rejecting Accidents Claims in Writing

: 10/4/2012
The Insurance Authority ordered all insurance companies operating in the State to disclose in writing the reasons in case of rejecting all sorts of insurance. It indicated in its circular to the general managers of the insurance companies referring to its circular issued under the reference 58 of 2012, that in case the company rejected the claim in whole or in part, it should inform the claimant of the reasons in writing. Additionally, it’s prohibited that such rejection be stated in unclear expressions and be merely because the claimant refuses to do certain procedures or to provide particular information unless these procedures or information are necessary to authenticate occurrence of the accident, its reasons, extent of damage or to enable the company to practice the legally established right of recovery.
