The IA launches its smart applications on Apple Watch

The Insurance Authority (IA) launched an initiative to activate its smart applications on Apple Watch.  The initiative launched as part of IA participation in the GITEX Exhibition came in line with IA endeavor to create the best up-to-date smart technologies to serve the policyholders, public and customers including companies and all insurance-related professions and to facilitate their access anywhere anytime.

 

The Apple Watch initiative is characterized by ease of using smart services and promptness in completing transactions round the clock along with the provision of many features such as notifications of all smart processes such as licensing, registration, complaints and inquiry about services.   New services can easily be added in the future, such as creating a personal account, entering the data of complaints, and notification of close locations to provide excellent and high-quality smart insurance services.

 

This is the second initiative launched by the IA at GITEX Exhibition following the license automatic renewal service for insurance companies and insurance-related professions.  The service comprises two steps that take less than one minute to renew the registration of companies (instead of 8 steps in the past)

 

Over the past two years, the IA managed to adopt competitive smart services, develop the business environment and promote the performance of government work in order to build an advanced Emirati society.   The IA seeks to become a smart authority in terms of its services and transactions provided to the public, the insurance companies and insurance-related professions.

 

Out of 47 services transformable to smart services, the IA transformed more than 38 service provided to the customers and the public to smart services which are provided through smart phones and mobile devices.  Therefore, the IA scored 100% on the electronic and smart transformation index of government services according to the Telecommunications Regulatory Authority Report 2015.

 

Smart services provided by the IA include receiving and settlement of complaints, provision of insurance advice, renewal of registration for national and foreign insurance companies and registration of branches thereof, renewal of registration, renewal of registration for insurance agents, brokers, loss surveyors and damage adjustors, Actuaries, insurance consultants, TPA companies (both individuals and companies, where applicable) and registration of branches thereof, renewal of registration, application to amend the data of insurance companies, TPA companies, insurance agents and brokers, loss surveyors and damage adjustors, Actuaries, and insurance consultants (both individuals and companies, where applicable). Other services include automatic license renewal for companies and insurance-related professions, electronic payment of service charges, and follow-up on the procedures of services provided and delivery thereof on 24/7 basis.

 

Through its participation in GITEX 2015, the IA affirmed its commitment to continuous modernization and development of its services as well as to creating the latest best smart technologies to serve the policyholders and customers who deal with the insurance companies in order to meet their expectations and aspirations for smooth and streamlined procedures that ensure access anywhere anytime and complete the service effectively and proficiently in order to achieve the IA’s vision to become a leader in the regulation and development of the insurance sector and upgrading its standards so that it can compete globally.

 

Smart services designed by the IA achieved a distinctive added value that contributed to promote the government business environment and boost the competitiveness of the insurance sector and business environment in the UAE.  They have also contributed to provide better services to the UAE nationals, customers and the public round the clock.  Insurance transactions are completed smooth and easily while saving time and reducing cost, which enhances the development of concepts of quality and promotes a culture of innovation and government excellence, ensures better utilization of human resources.  It enables the amalgamation of similar work and linkage of relevant procedures in an efficient and effective manner.
